J.A.A.D is the myth. Jayden Davis is the mind behind it, a multidisciplinary artist from Oakland, raised in Berkeley, whose work blends sound, spirit, and storytelling into a world of radical imagination and emotional clarity.
His journey began with a piano, a clarinet, and a childhood move that sparked an inner world built from cartoons, comics, and experimental sound. Mentored by Donte Franklin and D’Wayne Wiggins of Tony! Toni! Toné!, Jayden first emerged as DJ 9.5, crafting electronic dreamscapes before transforming into J.A.A.D, his truest form a sonic shapeshifter, a mythic figure, and an emotional architect.
Living with epilepsy since age 10, Jayden’s body once felt like the enemy. But music became his way of reclaiming agency and bending reality. J.A.A.D is both mask and mirror, a character born from loss, healing, and spiritual survival. His world is built in crimson, cream, and black. His symbol, the red multi-peace tree, represents a bold, inward rebellion.
J.A.A.D makes art for outsiders, those questioning everything, those feeling too much, and those ready to meet themselves fully. His sound is not just to be heard, but felt. His work isn’t passive; it’s a call to reflect, to care for your inner child, and to find peace in chaos.
This is more than music.
This is the world of J.A.A.D.
